Proverbs that I never understood before.

Proverbs:

Absence has made my heart grow fonder.

Meaning: 

being away from someone or something for period if time makes you appreciate that person more.

Situation:

The couple reunited after almost a year and understood that the absence had made their hearts grow fonder. 

Proverbs:

A watched pot never boils.

Meaning:

if something takes time to do, it doesn't help to constantly check on it. You just have to give it time.

Situation:

I kept waiting for hours near my phone about the product price but there's no answer from the seller yet because a watched pot never boils.

Proverbs: 

The early bird gets the worm.

Meaning: 

People who wake up early have a better chance of success.

Situation:

We have to get ready in front of the laptop or phone to buy the tickets tonight, before it's sold out because the early bird gets the worm.
